Many people have experimented with a Ouija board at some point in their lives. Often it happens when we are younger, sitting around with friends, half laughing and half nervous, not really understanding what we are doing.
When the planchette begins to move and words start to appear, there is usually a mix of excitement, fear, and adrenaline. It feels mysterious. It feels thrilling.
But very few people stop to ask what is actually happening.
What Is a Ouija Board Really Doing?
When someone uses a Ouija board, they are attempting to communicate with spirit. In energetic terms, it is a form of spirit communication that can open a doorway between the physical world and other realms.
That movement across the board is believed to be communication from an unseen presence. It could be a spirit, a lost soul, or another form of consciousness from beyond the physical world.
The problem is that most people who experiment with Ouija boards have absolutely no spiritual protection in place.
They are essentially opening a door without knowing who might walk through it.
Can a Ouija Board Open a Portal in Your Home?
From an energetic perspective, yes. Activities like this can create what many practitioners describe as a dimensional portal or energetic doorway.
When that doorway is opened and not properly closed, it can allow spiritual activity to continue within the space.
This is why people sometimes notice unusual experiences after a Ouija session, such as:
• strange feelings in certain rooms
• disturbed sleep or vivid dreams
• a sense of being watched
• unexplained noises or movement
• heavy or uncomfortable energy in the house
Not every experience means something negative has attached itself. However, when portals are left open, there is the possibility that unwanted energies can move in and out.
And not every spirit you encounter will have good intentions.
Why Spiritual Protection Matters
In professional spiritual work, communication with other realms is done with preparation, protection and respect.
When I work with spirit, I am also opening a connection, but I do it very differently from someone casually using a Ouija board.
I begin with clear spiritual protection.
I connect only with my guides and protective guides.
Everything is done within a ceremonial and respectful framework.
And when the work is complete, the connection is closed properly. The energetic doorway is shut and my home and personal energy field are protected.
This is the crucial step that most people completely miss when experimenting with a Ouija board.
What If Someone Used a Ouija Board in Your House?
If a Ouija board has been used in your home, especially by teenagers or visitors who did not know how to close the connection properly, there is a possibility that an energetic doorway has been left open.
This can allow energies, spirits or entities to move through the space.
Some of these may simply pass through. Others may stay attached to the environment or even to the people living there.
