Hands up – did you ever dabble with a Ouija board when you were younger?
Most people don’t realise that a simple scary, thrilling bit of fun like that can open an energetic doorway between realms. And if that doorway, a portal, isn’t closed properly, anything can slip through and stay in your home.
I’ll be honest, I did dabble a couple of times in my youth, but I wouldn’t do it now, it’s just not my thing.
I’m a witch but I practice a strict “do no harm” policy. I don’t hex people, I work for the highest good of all concerned, and just as importantly, I clear up energetically after myself. Unfortunately, not everyone does.
Portals aren’t only opened by Ouija boards either. Dark horror films, certain aggressive video games, or dabbling in ritual without proper knowledge can all create spots where energy leaks in.
I was talking a customer through her Clearing a while back, and I’d shown her on her floorplan where I found a portal. She was able to tell me that, where I marked it, was actually her son’s TV screen on the wall in his bedroom. She also confirmed the sort of video games he was spending a lot of time playing.
It’s hard to keep tabs on your teenagers, but do keep an eye on their behaviour and if their personality suddenly changes, dark energies can be at play.
Don’t freak out, these portals are straightforward for me to find and seal. In my Full Clearing or Energetic Housewarming, I always check for, and close any portals, and check to see if any dark magic has been performed in your house or land.
