Years ago, a friend of mine had a lovely family home. Our children were all young back then, and I remember visiting often. Every time I walked through her front door, the first thing I’d see, straight ahead, was the downstairs loo. The door was nearly always open (as kids do), and of course, the toilet seat was always up. Not exactly the most welcoming sight.
Now, I’m not trained in Feng Shui and I wasn’t doing this stuff seriously back then but some things are just intuitive. And this setup was screaming leaky energy. In Feng Shui, when the front door lines up directly with a toilet, it’s thought that energy (and money) flows straight out of the house. I remember thinking at the time: “This is a problem. They need a remedy, maybe a mirror on the door or something to redirect the energy.”
Fast forward a few years, and unfortunately, things took a serious turn. A series of difficult events led to the family losing the house. It was repossessed.
Here’s where it gets interesting.
That house had history. The previous owners had also experienced financial hardship. In fact, so had the owners before them. There was a repeating pattern of money issues tied to that home. Coincidence? I don’t believe in them.
When a house holds onto energy from past events, whether it’s financial struggle, relationship breakdowns or trauma, it can affect the new occupants in very real ways. This is what I call residual or stagnant energy. And if it’s not cleared, it doesn’t just fade away. It sticks. It influences. It repeats.
I’ve seen this time and again in my work as an energy clearing practitioner. Homes that carry the energetic imprint of divorce, illness, or misfortune can continue to pass that energy onto new residents, until someone (like me!) consciously breaks the cycle.
If You’ve Just Moved House, Here’s Something to Think About:
If the people you bought your home from separated, divorced or had financial problems, and now you’re noticing similar struggles cropping up in your own life, you might be living in a house with residual energy that needs clearing.
This isn’t about superstition, it’s about energetic hygiene.
You cleanse your body. You clean your home. But most people forget the invisible layer: the energy.
That’s where I come in.
